The TCM International Institute is accepting applications for the position of European vice president. This position reports to the president and serves as a member of the president’s cabinet. TCMII is located at Haus Edelweiss in Heiligenkreuz, Austria, just south of Vienna. There are 750 students enrolled in the certificate, MA, and MDiv programs who take courses in Austria or at one of the 10 teaching locations throughout Europe. The European vice president oversees international development in conjunction with the Indianapolis, IN, office. Responsibilities include fund-raising in Europe and working directly with donors, faculty, students, guests, and short-term workers. This person also plans, develops, organizes, implements, directs, and evaluates the European fiscal, physical plant, and human resource operations. Successful candidates should have master’s degree (or higher) with significant experience and accomplishments in development, administrative, facilities, and fiscal affairs. Requirements include: demonstrated success as a visionary leader; a record of progressive advancement; a strong commitment to supporting learning, discovery, and engagement in higher education; familiarity with administrative technology; and excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. A knowledge of German, international experience, and a background in church work would be helpful for living and working at Haus Edelweiss. William Jessup University (WJU), a private Christian liberal arts institution in Rocklin, CA, is searching for a president. The 550-student university has 25 full-time faculty, 68 staff members, and an annual operating budget of about $11 million. The president reports to the board of trustees and provides strategic, visionary leadership for the university. Candidates may come from education, church communities, or the public or private sectors, but must demonstrate a passion for Christian higher education and have at least 10 years of executive leadership/management experience in an institution of similar size and complexity. Experience should include strategic planning with success in guiding institutional change, fund-raising, financial stewardship, working with governing boards, and multiple constituents. A new Bible college opening in Port au Prince, Haiti, in January requires a college-level English as a Second Language teacher for its French- and Creole- speaking population. Duties will involve producing a course curriculum and proficiency examinations, as well as teaching and coaching students. Room and board will be provided on a subsistence basis, but the successful applicant will need to raise his own support. The exchange rate is such that $200 (U.S.) per month provides a reasonable standard of living in Haiti.
