KANSAS—New Hope Christian Church of Cherryvale, Kan., is seeking a full-time minister to help lead the church and to preach the Word of God as divinely inspired and written. The minister should have outstanding people skills and maintain positive working relationships, will preach at Sunday morning and evening services, and will teach Sunday school and Wednesday evening Bible study as needed. The minister will attend church meetings with trustees and report on church activities and discuss spiritual needs of the church, as well as conduct other ministerial duties (weddings, funerals, visitation, counseling, and community outreach). NHCC was formed in November 2005 and purchased their building in April 2006. Average attendance is 40-45. Cherryvale has about 1,500 residents. NEW MEXICO—Alamogordo (NM) Christian Church is seeking a preaching minister/pastor to join with the elders in shepherding, feeding, leading, and nurturing the congregation. INDIANA—Wilkinson (IN) Church of Christ, a church that averages about 500 each Sunday, is seeking a full-time children’s minister. The minister’s main responsibility will be K-5th grade, a combined group of about 80 students. Wilkinson is a rural community that is about a 30-minute drive from Indianapolis. The local school system is very good. Responsibilities will include designing Sunday school for two Sunday morning services, kids worship for K-5th grade, and implementing student ministries for Sunday night. Other responsibilities include recruiting and training adult youth coaches and student leaders, and organizing and executing events throughout the year (such as CIY SuperStart, VBS and camp). Must be well-organized, have good relational skills, be a team player, and have proven ability to work effectively with children, parents, and teams of volunteers. Pay is negotiable.
