Christian Standard’s annual chart identifies more than 100 megachurches and emerging megachurches, highlighting congregations with weekly attendance ranging from 1,000 to more than 2,000.

2011 Megachurches and Emerging Megachurches

Christian Standard’s annual megachurch chart lists more than 100 megachurches and emerging megachurches. The chart distinguishes churches averaging 2,000 or more in weekly attendance from emerging megachurches averaging 1,000 to 1,999.

  • Megachurches are defined as churches with 2,000 or more in weekly attendance.
  • Emerging megachurches average 1,000 to 1,999 in weekly attendance.
  • More than 100 churches are included in this year’s chart.
Crossroads Christian Church (Corona, CA) has had the best baptism ratio among megachurches in our survey for three consecutive years.

Our annual megachurch chart is one of CHRISTIAN STANDARD’s most popular features. This year there are more than 100 churches listed as megachurches (those with 2,000 or more in weekly attendance) or emerging megachurches (those with average attendance of 1,000 to 1,999).
