What could happen if all of us worked together in a special emphasis to reach the lost? That”s the challenge of a number of people who have been working together on this dream for several months. Their vision: to set aside the years 2011 to 2020 for a new move of God in our churches, college ministries, and mission agencies.

Dave Linn, who will serve as president of the 2010 National Missionary Convention in Lexington, Kentucky, proposed this idea to the NMC Continuation Committee during the most recent convention in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Inspired by Acts 13:2, Linn has already recruited 30 groups to pray, fast, and seek God”s will for this endeavor.

We are convinced this is much bigger than a single institution or meeting. We pray God will unite every convention, church, and Christian toward this goal.

For now, this “stirring” is simply referred to as the “Restoration Revolution.” The restoration begins with us, as we become the people through whom God will work. Based on the same godly principles that have brought us this far, we strive to become the agents through whom God will bring all mankind into fellowship with him.

Revolution suggests what can happen if all of our churches, college ministries, and mission agencies come together with common goals and strategies to impact the world before us.

The following acrostic of ACTS gives direction:

Almighty: It all begins in the Lord”s presence. Efforts like small groups committed to weekly prayer and fasting over the next two years prepare the way.

Churches/Countries: New churches (here and abroad) will be launched and penetrated as a result of the prayer and fasting efforts.

Translations: The Bible and other great Christian resources will follow.

Servants: Thousands upon thousands of servants will need to be trained and deployed for this harvest.
