Registration continues for both the International Conference On Missions (Nov. 3-5) and the Student ICOM (Nov. 4-5). The combined 2022 gathering takes place in Columbus, Ohio.
The theme for ICOM is โPerfect Unity.โ Tony Twist, president and CEO of TCM International Institute, is leading ICOM this year. Other speakers will include David Young, senior minister with North Boulevard Church of Christ in Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Shondankeh Johnson, leader of Disciple Making Movements.

In response to the dwindling preaching pipeline, e2: effective elders has published The Preaching Elder, a resource that will guide elders as they prepare sermons to help shoulder the burden of leading the church. The Preaching Elder Initiative comprises four parts: a book, seven hours of instructional videos, an in-person preaching clinic, and an academic course of study. On Nov. 13, Redemption Christian Church will officially open its Tell City (Ind.) Campus on the site of the former Tell City Junior High School building, which RCC purchased last year. Services will take place at 9 and 10:30 a.m. (CST), with onsite worship and Communion, and a sermon originating from the Jasper, Ind., campus. Corey Andry serves as Tell Cityโs campus minister. Redemption started with 12 people in Jasper in 2000. In 2016, the church opened its campus in Loogootee, Ind. The Dubois County Free Press reported on RCCโs plans.

Ozark Christian College, Joplin, Mo., will host a โWe Are the Bodyโ womenโs event on April 21-22. The study of 1 Corinthians will feature Maggie Schade as the speaker and Madison Christian as worship leader. The event is designed to encourage, equip, and empower women. This yearโs theme is “Unshakeable: Standing on His Promises.” Keynote speaker Mary Shannon will share that it doesnโt matter what happens politically, morally, socially, or economically in the world if we have Christ living in us.
