Hundley Retiring as CEO of Christian Churches Pension Plan (Plus News Briefs)

On June 30, Reggie Hundley will retire as the CEO/administrator of the Christian Churches Pension Plan. With his retirement, Hundley will conclude more than 27 years of service with the Pension Plan as a member of the board of governors, the executive committee, and as chairman of the board prior to becoming CEO/Administrator on July 1, 2017. 

W. Todd Beale will assume the leadership of CCPP on July 1. Beale has been a participant in the Pension Plan for more than 30 years, and he has served on the board of governors and the executive committee for more than 10 years. Beale is concluding a long ministry with Community Christian Church in New Palestine, Ind. The Kansas native is a graduate of Manhattan (Kan.) Christian College and holds an MBA from Kansas State University.

Michael Steere, recently of Holt, Mich., who ministered with churches in central and northern Michigan for many years, died on May 31. Mr. Steere also helped establish the Northern Michigan Bible Institute, the Northmen, and was active with Christian camps. The Great Lakes Christian College graduate was 85. He is survived by Terry, his wife of almost 64 years; three children; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. July 15 at South Lansing Christian Church, Lansing, Mich. A second memorial service will take place at Spencer Church of Christ, Kalkaska, Mich., at 11 a.m. Aug. 26. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to FAME, IDES, or White Fields World Ministries. David Bellows is now pastor emeritus of Christ’s Church of Ocala (Fla.), formerly called Christ’s Church of Marion County. Bellows retired as senior pastor in April 2022 after 12 years in the senior pastor role. He previously served with Southwest Christian Church in Fort Worth, Texas; First Christian Church in Tillamook, Ore.; Central Christian Church in Ocala, Fla.; and Roundlake Christian Church in Mount Dora, Fla.
