NICOLÁS “NICK” GRIFFIN

Nick Griffin “brings a wealth of experience, passion, and dedication to his alma mater as he steps into this role,” according to an MSCC Facebook post from Monday afternoon.

The incoming president is a graduate of MSCC and holds a Master of Strategic Ministry from Johnson University. He has served as a church planter and lead minister with Wayfarers Christian Church in Memphis. He had taught as an adjunct at MSCC.

Nick Griffin is the eldest son of Larry and Ruth Griffin. He was born in Uruguay while his father was serving as a church planter with Team Expansion

Larry Griffin announced on March 25 that he intended to “transition out of the position as president” and move into “a supporting role working with donor relations and working with some of the academic programs here at the college.”

Monday’s Facebook post stated that the board of trustees is confident Nick Griffin can “lead Mid-South Christian College into a new era of growth and innovation. His vision, coupled with his steadfast commitment to the institution’s core values, aligns seamlessly with the college’s mission to empower students through a holistic approach to education grounded in faith, scholarship, and service.”

Nick Griffin’s inauguration ceremony is set to occur during fall Convocation at 7:00 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16.

  1. Bill Griffin (no relation)

And, Larry had followed his father in the presidency; so Nick is the 3rd generation president of this family. WOW! What a legacy!

In his editorial for the start of 1875, Christian Standard’s founding editor, Isaac Errett, offered 5 suggestions to his readers that will enable them to “consecrate” themselves anew to Christ’s service in the forthcoming year.
