Living Creek Christian Church is seeking a full-time Lead Pastor to serve as the church’s primary spiritual leader and help guide the congregation in its mission of helping people follow Jesus. The church is looking for a man who loves God deeply, leads from an authentic and growing relationship with Jesus Christ, and ministers from a life shaped by Scripture and prayer. This role centers on preaching, teaching, vision casting, discipleship, evangelism, pastoral care, and staff leadership, all in partnership with the church’s elders.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Serving as the primary preacher and teacher, communicating biblical truth with clarity, conviction, and relevance.
- Developing and communicating preaching series and weekend themes in advance to the office, worship, and video tech teams.
- Leading and casting vision for the church in partnership with the Elders.
- Championing evangelism and discipleship, helping people take first steps of faith and grow toward maturity in Christ.
- Investing personally in mentoring and developing future leaders within the church.
- Sharing in pastoral care through prayer, counsel, and encouragement during times of need.
- Overseeing church staff by providing leadership, encouragement, accountability, and direction.
- Working collaboratively with the Elders on decisions impacting the direction of the church.
- Practicing integrity in the oversight and expenditure of the church budget.
Expectations and qualifications include:
- Maintaining a consistent devotional life through Scripture reading and prayer.
- Demonstrating integrity, humility, and Christlike character.
- Maintaining a strong and healthy relationship with his wife and family, modeling biblical priorities in home life.
- Holding a bachelor’s degree in Bible or a ministry-related field, with a master’s degree considered a plus.
- Having at least 5 years of experience serving as a lead pastor.
- Possessing gifts in preaching, leadership, and evangelism/discipleship, along with the ability to build teams and develop leaders.
