Miamisburg Christian Church is seeking a full-time Lead Pastor to serve as the church’s primary communicator, spiritual shepherd, and directional leader. This role is designed for a dedicated follower of Jesus who can guide the congregation’s spiritual formation while providing visionary and collaborative leadership across the life of the church. The church is looking for a relational, transparent, and humble leader who communicates with biblical depth and practical life application, develops staff and lay leaders, and helps move the church forward in alignment with its mission, vision, and values.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Serving as the church’s primary communicator to encourage and shepherd the spiritual formation of the congregation.
- Providing directional and visionary leadership for the church.
- Overseeing and encouraging the multiplication of ministry by developing and empowering staff and lay leadership.
- Championing the church’s mission, vision, and values.
- Working with the Elders to oversee the spiritual needs of the congregation.
- Leading and managing a ministry staff that currently includes the Children’s Pastor, Discipleship Pastor, Executive Pastor, Student Pastor, Worship Arts Pastor, and Connections Director.
Expectations and qualifications include:
- Being a dedicated follower of Jesus and a self-motivated disciple-maker.
- Communicating in a dynamic and engaging way with biblical depth and practical life application.
- Demonstrating honesty, humility, integrity, and strong character.
- Showing proven ability to lead, manage, and develop ministry staff.
- Preferably bringing 10+ years of church ministry leadership experience and 4+ years as a lead or teaching pastor.
- Having experience with weddings, funerals, pastoral counseling, and child dedications.
- Working a minimum of 50 hours per week with regular office hours and a flex schedule.
