NACC Women”s Conference Will Help You “˜Survive and Thrive”

Believing that faithfulness to one”s kingdom call requires welcoming all of life”s experiences as gifts from God, this year”s NACC Women”s Conference leadership team chose the theme “Survive and Thrive” to help guide the choices for speakers and topics.

Here are some highlights:

Thursday Main Event“”This special session for women has been expanded to include lunch, worship, and testimonies. Carol Kent, founder of Speak Up With Confidence and also a best-selling author, will be the guest speaker. Carol knows what it means to live with an unthinkable circumstance that will never change””and still to make hope-filled choices.

Women”s Gathering Place“”Come here for networking, prayer, rest, and resources.

Workshops“”These will encourage, deal with tough issues, and sharpen ministry skills. Here”s the lineup:

“¢ “Mastering the Balancing Act” with Martha Brammer. Learn how to customize your world so you have the confidence to make good choices. You will leave with a plan!

“¢ “Beyond the Hurt, into the Healing” with Jo Ann Sheeley, Robyn Priest, and Tammy Shultz. Hear from those who have successfully walked with each other through the journey of healing from sexual abuse, and also from a counselor who can provide helpful insights to begin the healing process.

“¢ “My Place in This World” with Brenda Lang. Learn how you can guide young adult women toward making a difference beyond their fears and beyond all expectations!

“¢ “Communicating So People Will Listen” with Carol Kent. This session will help you choose the right topic, gain the attention of your audience, select effective illustrations, and master powerful delivery skills.

“¢ “Outside Tradition, Inside Scripture” with Marsha Relyea Miles, Kathy Cool Taylor, and Jackie West. Hear the stories of women who are fulfilling their calling without divisiveness and within the authority of Scripture.
