The School of Business at Kentucky Christian University will host its ninth annual Leadership Conference April 4 in Grayson. The conference allows students and area business professionals to learn the art of leadership from a variety of leaders. Participants will include retired minister Bob Russell, Amazon launch and expansion manager Cassie Kiser Brodie, and Center for Disease Control public health adviser Jenna Meyer, among others. In a state largely deprived of Chick-fil-A, Eastpoint Christian Church provided some relief last week. A Chick-fil-A food truck parked at the church’s parking lot in South Portland, Maine, for three days. WMTW-TV reports people waited in line for more than two hours to eat. The truck’s appearance was part of Eastpoint’s February school vacation week. The church hosted activities for kids each day last week. Maine’s only Chick-fil-A restaurant is in Bangor.

Students from Point University will have an “Impact Day” to help clean up a local neighborhood in West Point, Ga. Students on March 29 will serve in the Roper Heights neighborhood. The Times-News says the cleanup effort will help students, faculty, and staff get to know residents who live near the school’s campus.

The African Children’s Choir made a stop Sunday at Diamond Canyon Christian Church in Diamond Bar, Calif. The choir, which is on its “Just As I Am” tour across North America, performed at two Sunday morning services at the church, a local newspaper reported..

After losing several members to cancer, First Christian Church in West Plains, Mo., baked and auctioned pies as a fund-raiser and donated the proceeds to the Ozarks Medical Center Emergency Fund, according to a story on the Ozark Radio News website.

Mountain Christian Church, Joppa, Md., hosted the AARP Foundation’s Tax-Aide program Saturday. Tax returns were prepared for free on a first-come, first-served basis.
