They”re not children, and they”re not ready for the challenges of junior high. Fourth-, fifth-, and sixth-grade students often feel like they don”t fit in at church. For years, the church has had few resources to help educate, guide, and recognize this unique age group.

In 2005, Christ In Youth launched SuperStart!, a weekend event designed specifically for these students. Now, Standard Publishing has joined with CIY to develop curriculum that challenges and connects with this age group. Based on CIY”s SuperStart! program, this curriculum will include leaders” guides, student pieces, and media. It will be true to the Bible and will lead the way in providing resources for the emerging field of preteen ministries across the country.

“CIY is blessed to partner with Standard Publishing,” said Andy Hansen, executive director of Christ In Youth. “We look forward to seeing what God unfolds in providing these dynamic materials that will develop the next generation of the church into strong disciples of Jesus.”

Christ In Youth and Standard Publishing will also work together to develop ministry resources for junior high and high school students that complement CIY”s programs.
