There is still time to complete Christian Standard‘s Annual Survey of Churches. Surveys were sent via email almost two weeks ago, but consider this your invitation to participate.
This survey of 2023 data is designed for every Restoration Movement church (Independent Christian Churches and Churches of Christ)—from the largest to smallest—and takes only a few minutes to complete, says researcher/writer Kent E. Fillinger.
“We’re compiling statistics that will help our movement as a whole; and the more churches we hear from, the more accurate and helpful the survey will be,” says Christian Standard editor Shawn McMullen.
The annual survey is the only definitive source of data for our group of churches. Collecting information, over time, on attendance, baptisms, giving, etc. is essential to evaluating trends within our movement, says Fillinger, who has worked with Christian Standard to conduct the survey for almost two decades.
Your participation this year will provide valuable information for our movement that we will share in coming issues and online. We encourage you to take part!
The Bella Vista Church of Christ in Bella Vista AR has had great growth the last two years – 72 new members in 2022, and 45 new members in 2023. We have two worship services and with 20-30 internet worshipers we are averaging 340-360 each Sunday. Available parking space is a BIG problem restricting further growth. The building is licensed for 299 capacity, but real effective capacity is more like 95% (284) because visitors will not come back if a couple or small family can’t sit together. Having two services with Bible Study sandwiched in between is where available parking gets tricky. High dollars problem!
