Associate Minister

Lilburn Christian Church in Lilburn, Georgia, is seeking a full-time Associate Minister to serve alongside its Interim Senior Minister, with the expectation that the successful candidate will grow toward assuming senior ministry responsibilities in the future. Located in a rapidly growing and multicultural community in metro Atlanta, the church serves a congregation of more than 150 and has a strong commitment to missions, community outreach, discipleship, and reaching people with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Associate Minister will help advance the church’s vision and mission through biblical preaching and teaching, pastoral leadership, congregational care, outreach, and ministry development. The church is particularly seeking a servant leader with experience contributing to church growth who is prepared to minister effectively within a diverse community.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Working with church leadership to accomplish the vision and mission of the congregation.
• Planning and leading worship services, preparing and delivering sermons, and leading the congregation in observance of church ordinances.
• Serving as a spiritual leader and helping shepherd the congregation toward spiritual maturity and discipleship.
• Leading caring ministries for individuals within the church and surrounding community.
• Guiding evangelistic and outreach efforts locally, regionally, and globally.
• Providing counseling and performing weddings and funerals.
• Working with church leaders, ministry directors, and committees to plan, organize, train, conduct, and evaluate church ministries.
• Representing the church in appropriate civic and ministry-related matters.

Expectations and qualifications include:

• Licensed or ordained as a minister of the Gospel.
• Demonstrated biblical, theological, and doctrinal competence appropriate for pastoral ministry.
• A servant-leadership approach and commitment to reaching people for Christ.
• Ability to serve and lead effectively in a culturally diverse community.
• Seminary training from a recognized institution within the church’s brotherhood is preferred.
