Mountlake Terrace Christian Church in Mountlake Terrace, Washington, is seeking a full-time Lead Minister to shepherd its congregation and provide Christ-centered spiritual leadership. As the church’s sole full-time staff member, the minister will work closely with the elders, ministry leaders, and volunteers to develop and implement a biblical vision for worship, discipleship, evangelism, missions, and service.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Preaching God’s Word with biblical accuracy, clarity, relevance, and conviction.
- Teaching Scripture and intentionally helping believers grow as disciples of Jesus.
- Providing compassionate pastoral care, prayer, encouragement, biblical counsel, and spiritual guidance.
- Leading the congregation toward spiritual maturity while reaching the surrounding community with the Gospel.
- Developing and overseeing ministries that support the spiritual growth of individuals, families, and the congregation.
- Equipping believers to discover, develop, and use their spiritual gifts in service to Christ and His Church.
- Identifying, mentoring, and encouraging ministry leaders who can strengthen the church’s life and mission.
- Working collaboratively with elders, ministry leaders, and volunteers in a spirit of unity and mutual respect.
- Championing local and global missions and cultivating a welcoming, Christ-centered church culture.
Expectations and qualifications include:
- A master’s degree from an accredited seminary or graduate school of ministry.
- Previous experience as a Lead Minister or in an Associate Ministry role.
- Demonstrated leadership and the ability to collaborate effectively with elders, volunteers, and ministry teams.
- Spiritual maturity, wisdom, and a genuine heart for shepherding God’s people.
- A clear commitment to following God’s leading and serving His Kingdom.
