River Christian Church (RCC) in Fleming Island, Florida, is seeking a full-time Middle School Student Pastor to develop and oversee ministry to Junior High students in grades 7–8, Pre-Teen students in grades 5–6, and their families. RCC is a growing Restoration Movement church committed to its mission to win people to Christ, train believers to be disciples, and unleash disciples to impact the world. This position works as part of the larger ministry team and reports to the Student Pastor.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Prepare and lead weekly Junior High and Pre-Teen ministry gatherings and small groups.
- Build meaningful relationships with students, parents, volunteer leaders, staff, and members of the surrounding community.
- Recruit, equip, develop, and encourage an expanding team of ministry volunteers.
- Create welcoming and engaging ministry environments that provide opportunities to share the gospel and strengthen students’ faith.
- Develop outreach opportunities, including relationships with local middle schools and RCC’s CREW before-school outreach program.
- Equip parents with communication, resources, relationships, and events that support discipleship in the home.
- Plan camps, retreats, mission opportunities, social events, and other experiences that encourage lifelong faith in Christ.
- Manage the Junior High and Pre-Teen ministry budget in collaboration with the Student Pastor.
- Participate in church-wide ministry, pastoral care, hospital and home visits, baptisms, weddings, funerals, staff meetings, and occasional preaching.

- A growing personal relationship with Jesus demonstrated through prayer, Scripture, and spiritual disciplines.
- Ability to teach, develop strategy, solve problems, organize ministry, and lead high-level volunteers.
- A humble, collaborative, teachable, and servant-oriented approach to ministry.
- Agreement with RCC’s beliefs, values, vision, and mission.
- Previous student ministry experience is strongly preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree with formal Bible training is preferred. Candidates without formal Bible training should be willing to begin an agreed-upon degree or certificate program within six months of starting.
