Preaching Minister – South Haven Christian Church

South Haven Christian Church in Valparaiso, Indiana, is seeking a full-time Preaching Minister to provide biblical preaching, teaching, and pastoral leadership for its congregation. The church is an independent Christian congregation rooted in the Restoration Movement, committed to bringing people into a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ and developing disciples who make disciples.

This position offers an opportunity for an experienced minister who values Scripture, personal relationships, congregational care, and helping the church grow in its mission. The church is seeking a people-oriented leader who can communicate biblical truth effectively while building meaningful relationships with members and prospective attendees.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Preaching during Sunday worship services and communicating biblical teaching clearly and faithfully.
• Teaching Wednesday evening Bible studies and supporting the congregation’s spiritual growth.
• Visiting and maintaining regular contact with church members to provide encouragement and pastoral care.
• Reaching out to prospective members and visitors, helping them connect with the congregation.
• Providing preaching and pastoral leadership that supports the church’s mission and continued growth.
• Using technology as needed to support ministry responsibilities and church communications.

Expectations and qualifications include:

• Previous experience serving as a Senior Minister.
• Strong biblical preaching and teaching abilities.
• A people-oriented approach to ministry, with the ability to develop relationships across the congregation.
• Some knowledge of technology and its practical applications in church ministry.
• A commitment to biblical authority and the principles of the Restoration Movement.
• A willingness to help the congregation grow through faithful ministry, personal outreach, and relationship building.

Compensation and Employment:

This is a full-time ministry position with an expected annual salary of $50,000–$60,000.
