Burlington Christian Church in Burlington, North Carolina, is prayerfully seeking a full-time Preaching Pastor who is grounded in Scripture, filled with the Holy Spirit, and committed to the historic principles of the Restoration Movement. The congregation has a strong children’s ministry and vibrant worship ministry and is looking for a servant leader who can help guide the church into its next season of faithful growth.
Located in a fast-growing area of North Carolina, Burlington is centrally positioned near Chapel Hill, Durham, Raleigh, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point. The church is also conveniently located near Interstates 40 and 85.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Preaching and teaching God’s Word faithfully each week.
- Providing spiritual servant leadership, pastoral care, and guidance to the congregation.
- Working collaboratively with the church’s children’s ministry, worship ministry, and elders.
- Equipping the congregation for outreach, discipleship, spiritual maturity, and continued growth.
- Helping lead the church in unity, evangelism, and the mission of Christ.
Expectations and qualifications include:
- A Bible college degree from a Restoration Movement college, or equivalent training consistent with Restoration Movement doctrine.
- A deep conviction regarding the inspiration and authority of Scripture, including a commitment to the truth expressed in 2 Timothy 3:16.
- Christlike character demonstrated in family life, relationships, and the community.
- The ability to preach and teach Scripture with clarity, passion, and Spirit-led conviction.
- A servant-hearted commitment to discipleship, evangelism, unity, and shepherding God’s people.
