The Church in Aurora in Aurora, Colorado, is seeking a passionate, part-time Pulpit Minister who shares the congregation’s commitment to the truth of God’s Word and service to the community. This close-knit church family emphasizes sound biblical teaching, genuine conversion, discipleship, worship, and sharing the good news of the grace found through Jesus Christ.
The primary focus of this approximately 20-hour-per-week position is biblical preaching and teaching. The church currently has a typical weekly attendance of approximately 30–40 people and is looking for a minister who will faithfully communicate Scripture while also engaging relationally with the congregation.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Preaching during the church’s Sunday morning worship service.
- Leading the Wednesday evening Bible study.
- Helping provide spiritual leadership and biblical teaching for the congregation.
- Engaging with members beyond regularly scheduled worship services and helping foster a culture of Christian fellowship and community.
- Providing pastoral counseling and care when appropriate.
Expectations and qualifications include:
- A strong commitment to the truth and faithful teaching of God’s Word.
- A desire to serve the congregation and the surrounding Aurora community.
- Ability to preach and teach Scripture effectively.
- Experience with pastoral counseling is preferred.
- A willingness to build relationships with members and participate in the life of the church outside regular services.
Compensation is approximately $25,000 annually and is negotiable based on qualifications and experience. The expected commitment is approximately 20 hours per week.
