Fern Creek Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky, is seeking a full-time Worship Minister to lead and shepherd a growing worship ministry. The church averages approximately 1,050 in Sunday attendance and is committed to its mission of making disciples who make disciples. Worship is central to that vision, and this role will help create Spirit-led, biblically grounded worship environments that support the mission and theology of the church.
The Worship Minister will oversee three Sunday morning services at 9:00, 10:15, and 11:30, and will help launch a fourth Thursday evening service at 7:00 p.m. this fall. The minister will lead a volunteer worship team of more than 60 people, work alongside a Worship Vision Team of six, and partner with a part-time Worship Administrator and a three-quarter-time Production Director.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Leading worship musically and spiritually.
- Shepherding, developing, and equipping worship ministry volunteers.
- Planning and leading Christ-centered worship environments.
- Working collaboratively with worship, production, and church leadership teams.
- Supporting the churchโs disciple-making mission through worship ministry.
- Helping prepare for and launch an additional Thursday evening service.
Expectations and qualifications include:
- A pastor-leader heart that values both discipleship and excellence.
- Strong vocal and instrumental ability.
- Experience leading teams in a ministry setting.
- A humble, relational, and spiritually mature leadership style.
- Alignment with biblical authority and core Christian doctrine.
- Preferably 2โ5 or more years of ministry experience.
- Preferably experience within a Christian Church / Restoration Movement context.
