Andover Christian Church in Andover, Ohio, is seeking a full-time Youth Minister to oversee children’s and youth ministries from Kindergarten through Grade 12. ACC is an independent Christian church in the Restoration Movement located in rural northeast Ohio. The church describes its mission as glorifying God by loving God, loving others, and making disciples.
The Youth Minister will provide leadership, organization, and spiritual direction for children and students, helping young people know Christ, grow in faith, and serve Him. This role will involve ministry across both children’s and youth age groups, making it a broad next-generation ministry position with responsibility for Kindergarten through senior high students.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Overseeing children’s and youth ministries for Kindergarten through Grade 12.
- Discipling young people to know, follow, and serve Christ.
- Providing leadership for ministry programming, teaching, and spiritual formation.
- Supporting existing children’s ministry efforts such as Awana, Vacation Bible School, children’s church, and related programs.
- Supporting youth ministry gatherings, outreach events, Sunday school, and camp involvement.
- Working with church leadership and volunteers to strengthen ministry to children, students, and families.
- Helping create a ministry environment that is biblically grounded, relational, and mission-focused.
Expectations and qualifications include:
- A love for Christ and a passion for discipling young people.
- Ability to lead and organize ministry for children and youth.
- Commitment to biblical teaching and Christian formation.
- Alignment with the independent Christian church and Restoration Movement tradition.
- Ability to work well with church leaders, families, volunteers, and students.
