EnterMission is a Christian gap-year and discipleship ministry for young adults ages 17–25. A ministry of New International, EnterMission exists to help students enter life on mission through immersive discipleship, hands-on ministry, community life, leadership formation, and cross-cultural service. Its programs are designed for young adults who want to grow in their faith, discern calling, and gain practical ministry experience before or during college, vocational training, or ministry service.
EnterMission is based in Knoxville, Tennessee, on the campus of Johnson University, and serves young adults from the United States and international ministry locations. Its experience begins with community and concept building at Johnson University, where students live together, study the life of Jesus, establish rhythms of shared life, and learn core concepts for discipleship and mission. From there, students participate in ministry experiences across the United States and, for the full gap-year track, overseas.
The ministry offers several program options, including a five-month Gap Semester, a 10-month Gap Year, a Resident Assistant experience, and a second-year Leadership Track. The first semester includes training at Johnson University, mentoring, communal formation, and ministry exposure through U.S. service experiences. These ministry trips often involve inner-city ministries, children’s homes, orphanages, Native American reservations, and service at the International Conference on Missions.
The full Gap Year adds an international ministry experience during the second semester. Students travel to an overseas ministry location, live and serve with local ministry partners, and apply the values and skills developed during their first semester. EnterMission describes this as more than taking a year off; it is a hands-on, trade-school approach to discipleship and ministry development intended to shape students as disciples, leaders, and young adults.
Mentorship is central to the EnterMission model. Each student is paired with a mentor for weekly meetings, encouragement, challenge, reflection, and guidance. The ministry’s core values include Kingdom living, wonder and curiosity, intentional community, spiritual formation, missional living, cross-cultural humility, resilience and growth, and creativity and calling. EnterMission also works with college partners such as Johnson University, Ozark Christian College, and Great Lakes Christian College for possible college credit and scholarships.
People can engage with EnterMission by applying for a Gap Semester, Gap Year, Resident Assistant role, or Leadership Track; giving financially through New International; sponsoring a student or staff member; connecting as a church or organizational partner; inviting young adults to apply; praying for students and leaders; or contacting the ministry with questions. Donations may be made online through New International, and inquiries may be sent to the Knoxville address or email listed by the ministry.

Healthy Churches Network (HCN) is a ministry organization that helps congregations and Christian leaders pursue church health through coaching, written resources, and seminars. The organization describes its purpose as assisting churches in becoming healthier and building a network where leaders can learn from one another and make a greater impact in their communities. Based in Phoenix, Arizona, HCN serves church leaders around the United States, and its director’s teaching ministry has also included seminars in Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Germany, and Thailand.
The ministry’s core emphasis is not simply organizational technique, but helping leaders focus on intimacy with Jesus and follow His lead. That spiritual focus shapes HCN’s coaching approach, which centers on prayer, personal discipleship, and leadership health. The organization presents church health as something that grows out of the spiritual and relational life of leaders, not only from ministry systems. Its stated vision is to connect leaders in ways that strengthen both their churches and their witness in their communities.
Healthy Churches Network operates through a mix of one-on-one and team coaching, teaching events, and practical ministry tools. Its site highlights Christian coaching for leaders and leadership teams, along with a library of books, assessments, downloadable documents, newsletters, webinars, and seminars. These resources include leadership assessments, discipleship and coaching assessments, the PH Meter, and a prayer resource called Heal Our Nation. Together, those tools show a strategy that combines spiritual formation with practical evaluation for pastors, ministry staff, and church leadership teams.
Dean Trune serves as the director of Healthy Churches Network. HCN identifies him as a certified life coach who works with Christian leaders and leadership teams, helping them focus on intimacy with Jesus. The organization’s biographical material also connects his ministry to decades of prayer seminars and teaching in many states and several countries. That background helps explain the network’s strong emphasis on prayer, personal character, and long-term leadership development rather than short-term church growth techniques alone.
People can engage with Healthy Churches Network in several ways. Church leaders can explore coaching, use the available assessments, attend or host seminars, read Dean Trune’s books, or make use of downloadable ministry materials. Supporters can also contribute financially through the organization’s donation page. For churches looking for outside encouragement, spiritual coaching, or practical tools for leadership reflection, HCN presents itself as a resource aimed at healthier leaders, healthier teams, and healthier churches.

Impact Campus Ministries (ICM) is a U.S.-based campus ministry organization that works with college students through local ministry teams and a broader support structure for staff, donors, and ministry partners. Its stated vision is “Impact the U. Impact the World,” and its mission is to pursue, model, and teach intimacy with God on the American university campus in Christian community. Based in Mishawaka, Indiana, the organization serves students on campuses across the United States, with ministry teams in multiple regions and a stated concern for reaching students on American university campuses.
The ministry’s core focus is spiritual formation, discipleship, and community among college students. Impact describes success not primarily in terms of attendance or expansion, but as developing intimacy with God and community with one another through a living relationship with Jesus. That emphasis shapes its culture of prayer, team-based ministry, and support-raising. The organization also stresses connection with the local church, accountability in Christian community, and a ministry philosophy that places prayer at the foundation of its work.
Impact Campus Ministries operates through campus-based teams that serve specific universities and regions, along with an executive and support staff that help with development, mobilization, communications, and operations. Its campus ministries include mentoring, student-led gatherings, Bible study, and relationship-based discipleship, with each location shaped by its campus context. The organization also highlights team-based campus ministry, a distinctive that it says helps staff work more effectively and sustainably. In addition to established campus locations, Impact provides pathways for internships, apprenticeships, recruitment, and new ministry planting.
Its history helps explain why the name Dean Trune is still associated with Impact. According to the organization’s history page, the ministry that eventually became Impact Campus Ministries emerged in 2010 as a distinct work focused exclusively on campus ministry in the United States. At that point, the predecessor ministry adopted a new name, Intentional Impact Living, to be led by Dean Trune, with a renewed focus on prayer and spiritual coaching. Impact Campus Ministries then continued under its own board and leadership structure, later expanding administrative support, donor systems, and staff development as it clarified its mission and vision.
People can engage with Impact Campus Ministries in several ways. Students can look for a local campus ministry through the organization’s campus finder. Potential staff and interns can explore openings and application pathways. Supporters can give through the general fund, contribute to staff teams, become a Champion, or support strategic initiatives. The ministry also connects with a broader audience through BEMA Discipleship, a teaching ministry that grew out of Impact’s campus context and remains part of the organization’s wider work. For churches, donors, alumni, and volunteers, Impact presents itself as a way to invest in college students who can carry Christian discipleship into future vocations, relationships, and communities.
