Global 8235 — Organization Profile
Global 8235 is a Christian nonprofit ministry serving communities in Zambia, with U.S. support operations connected to Louisville, Kentucky. The organization describes its mission as holistically transforming lives in Zambia through seven areas of outreach: educational enrichment and literacy development, vocational training, secure housing, medical care, nutrition, financial principles, and discipleship.
The organization’s core focus is helping impoverished women, men, youth, and the children under their care experience educational, economic, and eternal transformation through Christ-centered service. Global 8235 targets people who have not been given a chance to grow and thrive, while fostering educational growth, character development, and a personal faith relationship with Jesus Christ. Its public materials describe the ministry’s vision as making educational, economic, and eternal changes now and for generations to come.
Global 8235 serves people in Zambia, with work connected to learning centers and ministry activity in the Lusaka area. The ministry’s outreach includes children, teens, adults, artisans, families, pastors, students, and people affected by poverty. Its founder, Tracy Murray, first connected with Zambia in 2005, moved there in 2007, and later helped develop what became RecycloCraftz before the ministry rebranded as Global 8235 in 2022 to reflect a broader mission.
The organization operates through seven connected outreach areas. Educational enrichment and literacy development include learning-center activities such as reading support, puzzles, tutoring, books, and games that help children and youth build memory, planning, problem-solving, and academic confidence. Vocational training includes practical skill-building connected to RecycloCraftz, while secure housing, medical care, nutrition, and financial principles address needs that affect family stability and long-term opportunity.
A distinctive part of Global 8235’s work is combining Christian discipleship with practical development programs that address multiple dimensions of poverty at the same time. Its financial-principles work includes money management, budgeting, saving opportunities, and interest-free microloans. Its discipleship work includes women’s Bible study, evangelistic eye clinics, financial aid for pastors in rural areas, seminary student assistance, Jesus Film outreach, Bible distribution, and regular Bible-centered learning for children and teens at the learning center.
People can engage with Global 8235 by donating, subscribing to updates, praying, contacting the ministry, or supporting its outreach areas. The organization invites supporters to help provide educational enrichment, medical and therapeutic assistance, secure housing, nutrition, financial literacy, and opportunities for people to know Jesus. Supporters can also follow Global 8235 on social media, sign up for the newsletter, and contact the ministry’s U.S. or Zambia representatives for more information.
