World Gospel Outreach — Organization Profile
World Gospel Outreach is a Christian mission organization focused on serving and evangelizing children and the poor. Its stated vision is “Impacting the faith of Christ followers through serving and evangelizing children and the poor.” WGO describes its work as rooted in biblical mandates to care for the poor, share the gospel of Jesus Christ, and meet the needs of others in accountable Christian service.
The ministry serves in Honduras and Belize, with a U.S. office in Glen Ellyn, Illinois and ministry headquarters at Casa de Esperanza in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. World Gospel Outreach began ministry in Honduras before expanding into Belize in 2014. Its work brings North American volunteers together with Honduran and Belizean staff, missionaries, local churches, and ministry partners.
WGO operates through several ministry areas, including Rancho Ebenezer, Tegucigalpa Serve Teams, Belize Serve Teams, Relief and Development, and WGO Kids child sponsorship. Rancho Ebenezer is a family-based children’s community in the mountains near Tegucigalpa for at-risk Honduran children. The ministry provides safe homes, education, counseling, Christian mentorship, vocational development, and preparation for independent adulthood.
Through its Tegucigalpa and Belize serve-team ministries, WGO works with local churches and communities to meet practical needs while sharing the gospel. Teams may participate in medical, dental, and optical care, water-filter installation, concrete floors, home and church projects, food distribution, Vacation Bible School, children’s ministry, relational discipleship, and evangelism. In Honduras, WGO describes long-term relationships with local evangelical churches that host serve teams and help facilitate outreach in their communities.
The organization’s Relief and Development ministry strengthens local churches by helping meet physical and spiritual needs in Central America. Relief work includes clean water, shelter, medical outreach, food distribution, and church-related construction. Development work includes pastoral training and support, small-business development, microfinance, biblical entrepreneurship courses, and vocational-skills training intended to help participants grow spiritually and move toward greater stability.
People can engage with World Gospel Outreach by joining a serve trip, sponsoring a child through WGO Kids, giving to ministry projects, supporting a specific missionary, participating in church partnerships, joining the newsletter, praying for the work, or supporting the WGO Coffee Club connected to Rancho Ebenezer. WGO also lists career opportunities and service roles for people interested in longer-term ministry involvement in Honduras, Belize, or stateside support.

The organization’s core focus is serving Ghana spiritually and physically through church planting, healthcare, education, and community-strengthening programs. Since 1987, Ghana Christian Mission has reported hundreds of churches started, thousands of new converts baptized, hundreds of thousands of patients treated, and hundreds of students taught through its ministry work.
Ghana Christian Mission serves Ghana, including rural communities, large cities, and northern areas of the country. Its church planting page describes ministry among families in rural Ghana and in the large cities of this West African nation. Staff profiles also identify service in places such as Accra, Kumasi, the Northern Region, the Central Region, the Greater Accra Region, and the Volta Region, along with outreach among people groups such as the Ntrubo, Gonja, Konkomba, Agona, Nchumburung, Akyode, Ashanti, and Basari.
The mission operates through four primary ministry areas. Church planting is carried out by evangelists and ministers who travel throughout Ghana to share the gospel, disciple believers, and establish congregations. Christian education includes support for partner schools such as Faithway Christian Academy and Christian Transformation Basic School, with the goal of providing quality education and moral teaching for children. Medical outreach includes seven clinics in rural Ghana, where the mission provides compassionate healthcare and community preventive-care education.
A distinctive part of Ghana Christian Mission’s work is integrating evangelism with practical services that address physical, educational, and community needs. Its community development work includes wells, goat farming, fish farming, feeding programs, microfinance support through Mission Resource Ghana, and other efforts intended to strengthen long-term well-being. The mission also partners with organizations such as Feed My Starving Children, FAME, IDES, Global Health Outreach, and Mission Resource International.
People can engage with Ghana Christian Mission by giving, praying, contacting the mission, or participating in mission trips. Its mission trip information welcomes teams that want to evangelize, provide medical outreach, help construct buildings, teach, and serve in other practical ways. Supporters can also donate online or by mail, help fund mission work through the U.S. address, and follow the organization’s updates through its website and video channel.

Eastern Dominican Christian Mission — Organization Profile
Eastern Dominican Christian Mission (EDCM) is a Christian mission organization serving the eastern Dominican Republic. The mission was established in 2003 with a focus on making disciples and creating self-sufficient congregations through equipping and empowering initiatives. Its ministry is rooted in the Great Commission and the goal of forming disciples into local congregations.
EDCM’s U.S. mailing address is Roanoke, Virginia, and its ministry serves the eastern Dominican Republic, including communities such as Higuey, La Romana, Brisas del Mar, Punta Cana, El Seibo, Lotificación Verón, Otra Banda, and Ana Mulla. The mission works through Dominican and Haitian-led congregations, national pastors, church planters, and ministry leaders who serve communities through preaching, discipleship, local outreach, and practical ministry.
The organization’s stated ministry approach is summarized by the words “Equip” and “Empower.” EDCM plants churches under the name Iglesia Cuerpo de Cristo, the name associated with Christian churches in the Dominican Republic. Each congregation has its own facility and local leadership, while congregations also gather together for joint worship and fellowship. This structure supports local church planting, national leadership, discipleship, and movement toward self-sustaining congregations.
Leadership training is a major part of EDCM’s work. In 2020, the mission launched a two-year Bible seminary program to train leaders within existing churches and equip new workers for church planting. The program reflects EDCM’s commitment to developing Dominican Christian leaders who can teach Scripture, guide congregations, and strengthen ministry in their own communities.
EDCM also operates Kingdom Businesses and community ministries that support both practical needs and church outreach. These include Brisas del Mar Medical Clinic, Colegio Color Esperanza in Punta Cana, and Agua Brisas del Mar. The medical clinic provides care and medicine in a rural area of La Romana while also hosting Bible studies. The school offers Christian education in the Village of Hope neighborhood, and the water filtration plant provides safe drinking water while building trust and relationships in the community.
People can engage with Eastern Dominican Christian Mission by praying, giving financially, subscribing to ministry updates, supporting a church plant, partnering with leadership training, or joining a short-term mission team. Short-term mission trips partner with local Dominican congregations through VBS, women’s and men’s outreach events, youth activities, home visits, hospital visitation, concerts, youth camps, and other spiritually focused service opportunities.
