Christian Arabic Services (CAS) is a Christian mission organization focused on Arabic-speaking people, especially in Egypt and the wider Arab world. The organizationโs public tagline is โHelping the Arab World Find Jesus,โ and its work centers on spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the Arab world through church planting, leadership training, Christian literature, and benevolent service.
CAS is connected with ministry in Egypt and the Arab world, with support and donations handled through Ormond Beach, Florida. Its history is closely tied to Safaa Fahmi, who served for decades in Assiut, Egypt, before moving to Cairo to expand education, publishing, and village ministry. CAS describes Egyptian Christians as designing and implementing the educational and benevolent work, while the U.S.-based ministry serves as a helper through funding, teachers, and counsel.
The ministry serves Christian villages, churches, students, leaders, children, widows, orphans, and poor communities. CAS notes that Christian villages near major Egyptian cities may include thousands of people who have little access to basic Christian teaching, literacy resources, or practical support. The organizationโs work includes training leaders, planting churches, printing Bibles and commentaries, running Vacation Bible School programs, operating training centers, teaching literacy and cooking classes, holding marriage seminars, and providing food, blankets, clothes, and medicine.
Education is a major part of CASโs strategy. The organization reports that students from seven countries have studied in its seminar programs, with extension campuses in El-Minia, Sohag, Assiut, and Northern and Southern Sudan. Its leadership training is supported through teachers, seminar programs, and partnerships that strengthen Arabic-speaking Christian leaders for local ministry.
CAS also supports Christian publishing in Arabic. One major project is the Arabic Bible Commentary, a planned 50-volume commentary assembled by Safaa Fahmi with Arabic-speaking Egyptian scholars and writers. The project is designed as a commentary by and for Arabic-speaking people, with many Old Testament and New Testament volumes already in print and remaining volumes still awaiting publication.
People can engage with Christian Arabic Services by praying for the Arab world, giving online or by check, subscribing to the newsletter and prayer points, supporting a village, sponsoring a student through Hope International University, contributing to the Arabic Bible Commentary project, or participating in a custom-designed mission trip. Mission trip opportunities may include childrenโs work, womenโs seminars, seminars for Christian leaders, literacy training, education, benevolence, medical help, or other ministry needs in Egypt.
