Mission Resource Network (MRN) โ Organization Profile
Mission Resource Network (MRN) is a nonprofit missions ministry established in 1998 to help autonomous congregations serve the mission of God more effectively. Based in Bedford, Texas, MRN partners with churches and global workers in the United States and internationally so that leaders can pursue gospel work with clearer direction, healthier support, and stronger long-term effectiveness.
MRN frames its work around a simple conviction: global missions is complex and should not be done alone. The organizationโs stated vision is to transform all people groups with the Good News of Jesus, and its mission is to multiply healthy leaders to disciple the unreached and under-served people groups of the world. In practical terms, MRN comes alongside churches and individuals with coaching, training, and pathways that clarify calling, strengthen disciple-making habits, and support sustainable ministry in cross-cultural settings.
A key part of MRNโs approach is equipping churches for thoughtful, strategic engagement. Through church-focused coaching, workshops, and labs, MRN helps leaders work through big-picture โmission, vision, and valuesโ questions, as well as the practical realities of missions structures, partnerships, sending processes, and missionary care. MRN also publishes practical resourcesโsuch as handbooks and an online course related to short-term missionsโaimed at helping churches and teams prepare wisely and serve well.
For global workers, MRN offers help from the earliest stages of preparation through ongoing support. The organization emphasizes assessment and training, along with missionary care and worker care to address common challenges that can shorten a workerโs time on the field. MRN also provides field-oriented resources for life and ministry in cross-cultural contexts, including guidance for raising support, managing stress, and navigating transitions such as returning from the field.
MRNโs ministry initiatives reflect several focused areas of work: the Bengal Initiative, MedRim Initiative, Emerging Leadership Initiative, and Atlantic Bridge Initiative. These initiatives represent MRNโs effort to catalyze disciple-making movements, strengthen leadership development, and build partnerships that help churches and workers engage specific regions and ministry opportunities with greater clarity and collaboration.
People can engage with MRN by scheduling an introductory appointment, participating in training events, using published resources, and subscribing to updates through the organizationโs blogs and prayer content. Supporters can also give financially, including options for recurring gifts and other giving strategies described on MRNโs giving page.
