Church of the Valley is a Christian congregation located at 6565 Vesper Avenue in Van Nuys, California. Rooted in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) tradition, the congregation welcomes people to experience worship, Christian fellowship, and opportunities to serve the surrounding San Fernando Valley community.
Sunday worship at Church of the Valley begins at 10:30 a.m. Services bring together traditional hymns, choir music, contemporary praise music, prayer, biblical teaching, and weekly Communion. Children and teenagers can participate in age-appropriate Sunday programs, and nursery care is available for younger children.
The congregation’s history includes the 1989 union of Central Christian Church of Van Nuys and Little Brown Church of Studio City. Today, the two worship locations share one church family, with additional Sunday services at Little Brown Church.
Community ministry is an important part of church life. The Fetty Food Pantry provides food assistance to neighborhood residents, while Bible studies, music ministry, fellowship gatherings, and children’s and youth activities offer ways to connect throughout the week.
Led by Senior Minister Rev. Dr. Michael Kosik and Associate Pastor Rev. Beth Parker, Church of the Valley invites individuals and families to worship, build relationships, and participate in a community shaped by faith in Jesus Christ.
