By Susan Lawrence As usual, the North American Christian Convention is packed with possibilities. You might not know where to begin. If you”ve attended for years, you might drift through this year”s event””July 8 to 11 in Indianapolis””on autopilot. Or, perhaps you want to take in as much as possible, so you”ve highlighted your program to maximize every day from sunrise to well past sunset. Take a deep breath. The NACC isn”t just a program for you to power through. 1. Make eye contact. Notice people around you. Stroll. Sit. Savor. Don”t rush from one session to another and miss

Oh, I”ve always attended main sessions, and in my three-plus decades of attending NACCs, I know some sermons have moved and taught me. But what I”ve anticipated about each year”s gathering””and what I”ve promoted most when encouraging others to attend it””was not the preaching. I talked, instead, about the fellowship. Thousands Attend National Missionary Convention

Thousands of people attended the National Missionary Convention in Lexington, KY, last week. In addition to workshops, worship services, and exhibits, the NMC featured several special events: the launch of Restoration Revolution, a concert of prayer surrounding the convention center on Thursday morning, and the “Million Meal Feast,” an effort among Lexington-area churches to prepare 1 million meals to send to Haiti and North Korea.

NACC: Timely, Memorable, and Helpful

By Allan Dunbar, NACC Executive Director Our flight into Kansas City was late again.
