ICOM and TCM International Institute are partnering for a PrayerFast initiative to encourage and equip Christ followers to pray and fast regularly for the Great Commission.
“A great desire of ours this year is to see the Holy Spirit move with power among all the nations in response to the faithful and united prayers of his people,” according to an International Conference On Missions email. “This year’s ICOM theme is ‘Perfect Unity,’ following Jesus’ prayer for his church in John 17. To that end, we invite you to pray with us by becoming a PrayerFast Partner.”
The goal is to “to engage all ICOM constituencies and partners to fast and pray for a Holy Spirit movement among us to fulfill the Great Commission motivated by the Great Commandment to impact our churches, cultures, and countries for Christ.” Click here to become a PrayerFast partner.

The 2022 Stone-Campbell Journal Conference will take place April 8-9 at Johnson University in Knoxville, Tenn. An online option for plenary and study group sessions also will be offered this year.
The theme, “Jesus in the Gospels: Parables, Female Disciples, and Children,” will be developed via presentations by Amy-Jill Levine of Vanderbilt University, Nashville; Amy Lindeman Allen of Christian Theological Seminary, Indianapolis; and Holly Carey of Point University, West Point, Ga.
Pre-registration runs through March 28, with best pricing through March 7. Attendees may also register at the event. International missionaries may attend for free virtually. Learn more here.

Team Expansion shared this via Facebook: “A team in West Africa received an unexpected request from a man in a Muslim tribe that is normally hostile to outsiders. Though no one from his village had ever accepted Christ, he asked that our workers send someone to his village to tell them about Jesus. A local believer our workers discipled went to provide a three-day training. The man was convinced and decided to be baptized. He insisted on inviting four of his friends, who were chiefs from neighboring villages. In the days to follow, 32 tribesmen made Jesus their Lord and have been baptized, including 3 of the visiting chiefs!”

Voting concludes this Friday on the new name for the Mid-Atlantic Christian University dining hall, which is now under construction. The finalists are Alligood Commons (in honor of Phillip and Ora Jane Alligood (faithful servants of the school), Mustang Café (in honor of the school’s mascot), The Trough (a gathering places for horses . . . i.e., Mustangs/students), and Willie Lee White Commons (a faithful, well-loved former cook at the school). An old gymnasium at New Hope Christian Church, Crawfordsville, Ind., is undergoing improvements and will host an Upward basketball league for first- through sixth-graders starting in March.
“This is just the beginning,” Tyler Smith, youth and sports pastor, told the Journal Review. “We’re just going to keep dreaming how we can bring different leagues and sports opportunities here. We want to provide a safe and fun way for people to be able to enjoy sports in our community.”
Smith also serves as head coach of the Crawfordsville High School girls’ basketball team.

Lexi Sun, a two-time All-American volleyball player at the University of Nebraska, was guest speaker Feb. 13 at McCook (Neb.) Christian Church. Among other topics, Sun spoke of her struggles during her just-completed fifth year of competition, and about helping start a Bible study with her teammates, the McCook Gazette reported. (The church chose to focus on sports on Super Bowl Sunday or, as the church termed it, Souper Bowl Sunday, with members encouraged to donate items to the local food pantry that day.)
