Ticket prices for the 2024 RENEW.org National Gathering in Indianapolis go up on Thursday. If you want to save 30 percent, be sure to register today. This year’s theme is “Courageous Renewal.” 

The event will take place April 29 and 30 at Mount Pleasant Christian Church. Speakers will include Kyle Idleman, Renee Sproles, Josh Sprowles, Orpheus J. Heyward, Jeff Faull, and Shodankeh Johnson, among many others.

The men’s and women’s swimming teams from Milligan University both registered third-place finishes at the 2024 NAIA National Championships in Columbus, Ga., March 6 to 9. Both squads had a national champion. 

Stephen Gilbert won the 400 individual medley with a time of 3:53.52. Caleb Fry placed second in the 100 breaststroke and 200 breaststroke. In all, the Milligan men collected 31 NAIA All-American honors in 14 events. 

Spencer Scarth was named the NAIA Coach of the Year. 

Riley Renaud highlighted the Buffs’ outstanding performances by women; she won the 1650 freestyle with a time of 17:03.33. Renaud also finished second in the 500 freestyle. Gabby MacPherson placed second in the 200 butterfly. In all, Milligan women collected 29 NAIA All-American honors in 13 events.

Ozark Christian College’s Branson Retreat is set for May 20-23 at Chateau on the Lake. Great Bible teaching, friendship building, rest, and renewal are on the agenda for the gathering around Table Rock Lake. Speakers will include Ken Idleman, Jim Dalrymple, and Matt Stafford. The TCM Every Nation Summit is slated for 7 to 9 p.m. May 3 at the 502 East Event Centre in Carmel, Ind. Tickets are $100, with proceeds going to TCM’s Engaging Every Nation Initiative which is expanding the training and equipping ministry of TCM around the globe. Learn more and get tickets here.

Jessup University shared several details recently about its switch from NAIA athletics to NCAA Division II. The school’s sports department has updated its logo, changed its primary color to navy, and announced a partnership with Nike, which will bring about a change in athletic uniforms.

The women’s basketball team from Great Lakes Christian College (Lansing, Mich.) finished sixth at the NCCAA National Championship tournament in Minneapolis, Minn., March 13-16.  

The Lady Crusaders lost to Toccoa Falls College (the eventual second-place finisher) on Thursday, defeated Calvary University on Friday, and fell in the fifth-place match-up to Champion Christian College on Saturday. 

Friday’s win was the first ever for the GLCC women at the national tournament. The Lady Crusaders qualified for the National Championship by winning the Midwest Regional Tournament March 1-2.

The American Bible Society plans to close its $60 million Faith and Liberty Discovery Center in Philadelphia on March 28, according to a story in Christianity Today. The FLDC, a Bible museum located on the Independence Mall, has been open less than three years. The museum has “not been able to achieve . . . long-term sustainability,” according to ABS CEO Jennifer Holloran.
