NXTStep Church Services — Organization Profile
NXTStep Church Services is the public-facing name used by YourNCS.org (often shortened to NCS), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that exists to strengthen the local church during seasons of transition. NXTStep’s core message is captured in its motto: helping churches ask and discover “what’s next?”—especially when leadership change, uncertainty, or stalled momentum makes it difficult to move forward with confidence.
A signature focus of NXTStep is pastoral transition support through TIPS (Transitional Interim Pastor Services). TIPS is designed to help churches navigate the in-between season between pastors with healthy leadership, wise pacing, and renewed vision. NXTStep describes this work as moving congregations “from anxiety to anticipation,” pairing experienced interim leaders with a process that supports unity, stability, and mission alignment while a church prepares for its next long-term leader.
Alongside TIPS, NXTStep provides broader local church consulting and coaching. Their method emphasizes helping churches know, discern, lead, and live—using assessments to understand a church’s uniqueness and community needs, discerning where God is leading, developing a ministry action plan, and then supporting implementation through accountability and coaching.
