Association of College Ministries โ Organization Profile
The Association of College Ministries (ACM) is an international network of Christian campus ministries that exists to support students and campus ministers in university settings. The organization describes itself as a collective of college ministries, most with roots in the Restoration Movement, working together to advance the Great Commission. Its public mission is to bring glory to God on the university campus, with a vision to advance Jesusโ mission among college students all around the world.
ACM serves college students, campus ministers, and independent campus ministries connected with non-denominational Christian Churches and Churches of Christ. The organizationโs member ministries are listed across campuses in the United States and, according to ACMโs history page, also operate in Europe, Asia, Australia/Oceania, South America, and North America outside the United States. Its network includes campus houses, Christian student fellowships, campus foundations, and other locally governed campus ministries.
The organization operates primarily as a connecting and resourcing association rather than as a single campus ministry with one physical location. ACMโs website states that the association itself does not have a physical office or phone number because it is made up of individual campus ministries around the world. Students are encouraged to search for a nearby ministry, while campus ministers can use ACM for networking, conferences, resources, job postings, and shared support.
ACMโs work is organized around four stated design emphases: Encourage, Equip, Empower, and Engage. These emphases include support, networking, collaboration, preparation, training, resourcing, recruiting, strengthening, planting, education, influence, and exposure. The association provides ministry resources, promotes campus-ministry best practices, lists open ministry roles, and helps member ministries connect with one another across campuses and regions.
A major ACM program is the E4 Conference, which is designed to equip, empower, encourage, and engage campus ministers as they serve on university campuses and beyond. The organization also hosts FOUR, an online gathering for ACM network members, and provides membership options for campus ministries that want access to conferences, discounted registrations, social media networking, newsletters, webinars, and job openings among ACM ministries.
People can engage with the Association of College Ministries by searching for a campus ministry, contacting ACM through its website form, applying for campus ministry membership, attending E4 or FOUR, reviewing open positions, paying membership dues online, or becoming a Kingdom Partner. Because local ACM ministries are independently governed, students, churches, alumni, and other supporters may also connect directly with listed campus ministries for local involvement, prayer, service, and financial support.
