Disciple Makers โ Organization Profile
Disciple Makers is a Christian mission organization focused on helping fulfill the Great Commission among unreached and unengaged people groups. Its stated mission is to make Christ-followers who produce Christ-followers among the nations of the world. The organization works through evangelism, church planting, national evangelist support, leadership training, short-term trips, internships, and technology-based training.
Disciple Makers is based in Latonia, Kentucky, and its ministry serves Africa, Asia, Latin America, Guatemala, the 10/40 Window, and unreached people groups around the world. The organization began in 1989 and is supported by churches and individuals who partner with its mission to help fulfill the Great Commission of Christ.
The ministryโs work is shaped by a focus on unreached and unengaged people groups. Disciple Makers highlights the remaining task of global evangelism and states that more than 7,000 people groups are still considered unreached with the gospel. Its vision includes planting new indigenous churches, empowering national workers, and developing sustainable ministry among people who have limited access to the gospel.
Disciple Makers operates through several connected strategies. Its Adopt an Evangelist program allows churches and individuals to support nationally trained evangelists with prayer, financial support, encouragement, and possible field visits. The organization also promotes adopting unreached people groups, sponsoring Internet Training Centers, and supporting field workers who serve in difficult-access contexts.
Technology and training are also important parts of the ministry. Disciple Makers uses Internet Training Centers to train lay pastors and prepare workers for ministry among unreached communities. Its core values include dependency on God, clear direction, national empowerment, technology, church planting, sustainability, and accountability to prayer and financial partners.
People can engage with Disciple Makers by praying, giving financially, adopting an evangelist, sponsoring an Internet Training Center, participating in short-term trips, applying for internships in Africa, Asia, Latin America, or Puentes, supporting missionaries, or contacting the ministry about unreached people group engagement. Donations may be made online or through the organizationโs Latonia, Kentucky office.
