La Costa Colombia Mission

La Costa Colombia Mission — Organization Profile

La Costa Colombia Mission is a Christian nonprofit based in Indianapolis, Indiana, serving churches, pastors, ministries, and vulnerable communities along the Colombian coast. The organization describes itself as a mission that supports missions and churches already working in their neighborhoods, building spiritual and financial support relationships with local leaders and ministries.

The organization’s core focus is supporting Colombian churches and missions through children’s feeding ministries, medical missions, community health programs, pastoral encouragement, and short-term mission coordination. La Costa Colombia works with local missionaries and pastors who are already serving in their own communities, helping strengthen their work through prayer, resources, trips, and partnership.

La Costa Colombia serves communities in Barranquilla, Santa Marta, Sincelejo, Buenaventura, La Guajira, and other areas of Colombia’s coastal region. Its website identifies partner congregations and ministries that focus on feeding and educating children, supporting and training young parents, promoting community health, and providing medical outreach in vulnerable communities.

The ministry operates through U.S.-based coordination and Colombia-based collaboration. Its directors are based in the United States, where they coordinate missionary trips, children’s dining halls, medical missions, and events related to comprehensive community care. Local collaborators in Colombia work in the cities and neighborhoods where La Costa Colombia has developed relationships with churches, pastors, and mission partners.

A distinctive part of La Costa Colombia’s work is strengthening existing local ministries rather than replacing them. Its supported ministries include Construyendo Casa Firme, a children’s dining room connected with Casa Firme church in the Las Flores neighborhood, and Pesca Milagrosa, a group of churches that brings the Word of God to towns and hard-to-reach areas. The organization also supports local pastors through online meetings and occasional retreats for rest, training, and encouragement.

People can engage with La Costa Colombia by giving, praying, following ministry updates, supporting children’s feeding and education efforts, helping medical missions, or participating in short-term mission work. The organization has partnered with FAME for medical mission trips in Colombia, including outreach through Casa Firme in Barranquilla and other neighboring communities. Donations help feed and educate children, strengthen young parents, improve health in vulnerable communities, and support local pastors serving along the Colombian coast.
