On Sunday, Aug. 28, volunteers at Eastside Christian Church (Fullerton, CA) planted more than 3,100 small white flags in a dirt plot outside the church building. My commitment that summer circa 1993 may not have panned out how I expected, but I think that through the working of the Spirit, the love of the Son, and the guidance of the Father it is still something I’m called to do.
