Milligan College president Bill Greer hand-delivers a diploma to Vanessa Botero at the cycling championships.

Mother and daughter graduated on the same day at Milligan College on May 11. JoDee Dotson was one of eight inaugural graduates in Milligan’s new Doctor of Education program, while her daughter, Taylor, also crossed the stage that day and plans to return in the fall to pursue a master’s degree in occupational therapy.

One of Milligan’s MBA graduates couldn’t attend commencement. Vanessa Botero was with the Milligan cycling team that was competing in the Division I Varsity Nationals in Augusta, Ga. But Milligan president Bill Greer hoofed down to Augusta, Ga., on May 12 to hand-deliver the diploma to Botero. (Oh, and Milligan finished second in the competition.)

Kerry Allen was introduced as president-elect of Louisville Bible College at the school’s commencement Saturday. Allen will conclude more than 20 years of service with Person to Person Ministries, Hillsboro, Ohio, in December 2020 but will begin transitioning to LBC in January 2020. Throughout that year, he will gradually spend less time with P2P, and more time with LBC, until he becomes full-time president by January 2021. Dr. Tom Mobley will continue to serve as president of LBC until September 2020, if his health permits, then transition to being chancellor.

Allen served as a former president of Bluefield (now Blueridge) College of Evangelism prior to serving as executive director with P2P. The Indiana native has also served in ministry with local congregations. He is a graduate of BCE and earned a master’s degree from LBC. He and his wife, Pam, will be locating to the Kentuckiana area once their P2P ministry concludes.

TCM International Institute hosted its 25th graduation service May 5 at the Stift Heilegenkreuz in Austria. There were 48 graduates from 19 countries, making it the largest graduating class ever, TCM president Tony Twist said.

Dr. Meego Remmel of Estonia, a TCM graduate and professor—and also a church planter, pastor, and a leader in the Christian church movement throughout Europe—became the first TCM graduate to deliver the school’s commencement address.

The school currently has more than 1,500 students from more than 40 nations enrolled in either its master of arts or master of divinity courses of study, according to its website.
