Traders Point Christian Church of Greater Indianapolis has announced plans to open a new location in Fishers, Ind. The church recently purchased an 8.28-acre property that previously belonged to The Promise United Methodist Church, which stopped holding services in November 2021.
“We’re incredibly excited about finalizing the purchase of this location in Fishers,” Traders Point chief financial officer Josh Lippert told the Current newspaper. “We believe it sits in a very strategic area of our city, allowing us to open a campus closer to guests who regularly attend our other campuses in Carmel and Whitestown, and reach a new part of our city that’s exploding with growth.”
When the new campus opens in about four months, TPCC will have six locations.

David Beamer, father of 9/11 hero Todd Beamer, joined Milligan University last week to honor and recognize nine people for demonstrating servant-leadership through their careers and in the community. The recognition occurred at the school’s annual Leaders in Christian Service Program.
Milligan also recognized student servant-leaders with an award now named in memory of Todd Beamer, whose famous words “Let’s roll” became a symbol of American heroism after he and other passengers tried to regain control of United Flight 93 from hijackers. The plane eventually crashed into a Pennsylvania field. There were no survivors.
The Beamers often attended a family ministry camp on Milligan’s campus. They played an important role in the Beamer Leadership Scholars Program at Milligan and established The Todd Beamer Scholarship at Emmanuel Christian Seminary at Milligan in his memory.

Lincoln Christian University will host a Church Leaders’ Conference on “The Danger of Mission Drift” on Feb. 18.
“Our audience of pastors, elders, and church volunteers will learn from a group of speakers and breakout session leaders . . . about what it takes to serve today’s church well,” LCU writes, “from big picture vision to day-to-day details.”
