Christian individuals and ministries are working together with the goal of raising the necessary funds to install 10 mini-pitch turf soccer fields in the slums of Nairobi, Kenya. The first two fields were installed by a joint team of U.S. and Kenyan workers this spring.

Dr. Jack Cottrell, professor of theology at Cincinnati Christian University for 48 years, died Sept. 16, 2022. He was 84. In addition to writing 43 books, Dr. Cottrell also wrote numerous articles for Christian Standard. This one, titled “Inerrancy—Does It Really Matter?” was published nearly 40 years ago.

Dr. Richard D. Hogan, 88, died Tuesday in Bella Vista, Ark. He was a longtime minister with First Christian Church in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and then with NewLife Christian Church in Bella Vista, Ark. He served as president of the 1990 North American Christian Convention and was a longtime member of the Publishing Committee at Standard Publishing.
