Dailey Chapel Christian Church in rural Parke County, Indiana, is seeking a full-time minister to provide biblical preaching, teaching, pastoral guidance, and spiritual leadership. Located approximately 25 minutes north of Terre Haute, the church is a warm, welcoming, family-oriented congregation with an average weekly attendance of approximately 50 people, including children and youth from infancy through the teenage years.
The minister will serve people of all ages and help the congregation grow as disciples of Jesus Christ. Ministry responsibilities will extend beyond Sunday morning services and may include evening gatherings, seasonal events, trips, service opportunities, and other church activities.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Delivering authentic, biblically grounded sermons.
- Leading adult Sunday school classes and Bible studies.
- Participating actively in worship services, meetings, and church-wide activities.
- Providing spiritual guidance and biblical counsel to members of the congregation.
- Modeling and encouraging prayer, Bible study, and Christ-centered living.
- Developing educational, recreational, seasonal, and service-oriented activities.
- Conducting community outreach to connect with unchurched individuals and families.
- Recruiting, organizing, and directing volunteers who support the church’s biblical beliefs.
- Meeting with a board-appointed committee as needed.
Expectations and qualifications include:
- Agreement with and support for Dailey Chapel’s stated biblical beliefs.
- Being an immersed believer who is actively pursuing a relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Strong biblical knowledge and sound theology rooted in the Restoration Movement.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to handle sensitive situations with grace and biblical wisdom.
- A theology or ministry degree from a Restoration Movement Bible college is preferred.
Dailey Chapel affirms the Trinity, the inspiration and infallibility of Scripture, Christ’s substitutionary death and bodily resurrection, his eventual return, and salvation through hearing, faith, repentance, confession, immersion into Christ, and continued faithful discipleship.
The position provides an annual salary of $40,000 and two weeks of vacation, including two Sundays. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
