Emmanuel Christian Church, a Restoration Movement Christian Church in Stoneboro, Pennsylvania, is seeking a full-time Lead Minister to help guide the congregation into its next season of outreach and growth. The church is looking for a leader who is passionate about preaching and teaching God’s Word, offering heartfelt pastoral care, and serving with humility, relational warmth, and biblical conviction. This role is centered on helping the elders shepherd the congregation while equipping the church for spiritual growth, service, and ongoing community impact. The ideal candidate will be grounded in Scripture, able to lead both the congregation and church staff with vision, and preferably hold a related graduate degree in ministry or a similar field.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Helping the elders shepherd the congregation through teaching, fellowship, the breaking of bread, and prayer.
- Creating engaging, Bible-based sermons that lead non-believers to accept Christ and be baptized.
- Equipping church members for spiritual growth and service.
- Teaching adult Sunday School classes.
- Leading Wednesday night Bible studies or other small groups as needed.
- Supporting the church’s various ministries so the congregation continues to reach the local community.
- Providing Christian counseling.
- Performing baptisms.
- Officiating weddings and funerals.
- Working with the Worship Director to coordinate Sunday services and special events.
- Offering pastoral care through support and visitation for members in need, including hospital visits.
- Collaborating with elders and ministry leaders to guide church direction according to God’s will.
Expectations and qualifications include:
- Being passionate about preaching, teaching, and pastoral care.
- Demonstrating a relational, Scripture-grounded approach to ministry.
- Leading with humility and vision.
- Preferably holding a graduate degree in ministry or a related field.
The listed compensation range is $50,000 to $74,000, and salary, housing allowance, and benefits are negotiable.
