Lead Pastor

Thrive Christian Church in the Lake Nona community of Orlando, Florida, is seeking a spiritually grounded and visionary Lead Pastor to guide the church into its next season of ministry. Working under the oversight of and in close partnership with the Elders, the Lead Pastor will champion the church’s vision, serve as its primary teacher of God’s Word, lead and empower ministry staff, and cultivate a culture of disciples who make disciples.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Guarding and advancing Thrive Church’s core doctrine, mission, vision, and values.
• Providing compelling, biblically grounded preaching and teaching and developing an intentional message strategy.
• Leading, developing, and empowering ministry staff, including direct supervision of the pastoral team.
• Partnering with the Elders through a healthy policy-governance model marked by accountability and collaboration.
• Casting a clear vision that unites the congregation and builds momentum for future ministry.
• Identifying, equipping, and releasing disciple-making leaders who multiply ministry throughout the church.
• Cultivating ministry and mission partnerships that expand the church’s community and Kingdom impact.
• Providing pastoral care and serving as a visible representative of Thrive Church in the Lake Nona community.

Expectations and qualifications include:

• A clear commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and a growing personal relationship with Him.
• Affirmation of the Bible as the inspired Word of God and the ultimate standard for faith and life.
• At least five years of senior ministry experience in a local church setting is desired.
• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited Bible college or Christian university, or a master’s degree from an accredited Christian seminary, is desired.
• Demonstrated strengths in leadership, preaching and teaching, pastoral care, team building, evangelism, and developing disciple-makers.
• A willingness to live in or relocate to the Lake Nona area and become deeply rooted in the community.

The position offers compensation of $90,000–$130,000. Candidates are asked to apply by November 1, 2026.
