17th Street Christian Church in Corbin, Kentucky, is seeking a full-time Senior Minister to preach and teach the Word of God to the congregation and surrounding community. This independent Christian church, rooted in the principles of the Restoration Movement, is a small congregation in southeastern Kentucky with approximately 65–75 people, ranging from infants to senior adults. The church also has a full-time Youth Minister on staff and is committed to local, state, national, and global missions.
The Senior Minister will provide biblical preaching, spiritual leadership, pastoral care, and ministry direction while working with the elders and deacons to continue the church’s mission of growing God’s kingdom. The ideal candidate will help foster a culture of spiritual growth through doctrinally sound Bible teaching, disciple making, and faithful congregational leadership.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Preaching and teaching Scripture in a clear, faithful, and doctrinally sound manner.
- Providing spiritual leadership and pastoral care for the congregation.
- Leading and supporting outreach efforts in the church and community.
- Working collaboratively with elders and deacons to guide the ongoing mission of the church.
- Encouraging disciple making and spiritual growth among all ages.
- Supporting a ministry culture that values missions locally, statewide, nationally, and globally.

- A commitment to scripturally sound preaching and teaching.
- A heart for pastoral care, spiritual leadership, and congregational shepherding.
- Alignment with the principles of the Restoration Movement and independent Christian church ministry.
- Ability to work well with church leadership and ministry staff.
