African Christian Schools Foundation (ACSF) โ Organization Profile
African Christian Schools Foundation (ACSF) is a Christian missions and education organization that supports ministerial training in Africa. Based in Nashville, Tennessee, ACSF exists to help develop church leaders through Bible-focused education and evangelistic support, with a long history connected to gospel efforts in Nigeria.
ACSFโs stated mission is to train preachers, strengthen churches, and carry the saving gospel of Jesus Christ to the continent of Africa. The organization describes its work as combining the training of preachers and evangelists, the education of Bible teachers and church leaders, and support for campaign and mission teams working in Africa. Its primary school partnerships and training efforts are focused in Nigeria and West Africa.
A core part of ACSFโs work is supporting two schools in Nigeria: Nigerian Christian Bible College (NCBC) and West Nigeria Christian College (WNCC). NCBC was started in 1954 in the village of Ukpom, and it offers multiple tracks, including a Diploma in Theology and degree programs connected to an affiliation with the University of Calabar. These pathways are designed to prepare students for ministry and teaching roles and to equip graduates for service in churches and communities.
WNCC was established after several years of planning and began on donated land outside Abeokuta. The school offers a comprehensive Bible training program intended both to prepare secondary-school graduates for further studies and to provide foundational preparation for men pursuing ministry. WNCC also includes an additional year option leading to an advanced diploma, with coursework in areas such as theology, language, ethics, and guided research.
Beyond school support, ACSF invites individuals and congregations to engage through practical avenues: sharing the work with others, praying for the ministry, giving financially, and participating in visits to see the schoolsโ work firsthand. ACSF also provides updates through newsletters and publishes ongoing stories and reports about ministry and student impact connected to its Nigeria-based schools.
