Tennessee Bible College

Tennessee Bible College (TBC) — Organization Profile

Tennessee Bible College (TBC) is a Churches of Christ-affiliated Bible college located in Cookeville, Tennessee, serving students from the region and beyond through on-campus, online, and blended learning. Founded in 1975, TBC is designed for students seeking concentrated biblical instruction and ministry preparation in a small-campus setting in the Upper Cumberland area.

TBC describes its mission as training sound Gospel preachers and Christian workers, with the Bible positioned as the centerpiece of its curriculum. In its public messaging, the school emphasizes a “biblically focused” approach that includes coursework in areas such as Christian evidences (apologetics), ministry, church history, and biblical languages. This focus shapes both its academic expectations and its wider resource offerings for individuals and congregations.

Academically, TBC lists multiple credential pathways. Undergraduate options include a Two-Year Preaching Diploma and a Bachelor’s Degree in Religious Education. At the graduate level, the school offers the Master of Theology (M.Th.) and the Doctor of Theology (Th.D.), with graduate study described as serving students who want deeper biblical and theological training. TBC also maintains an Online College platform for students completing coursework at a distance.

In addition to degree programs, TBC provides learning opportunities that extend beyond enrolled students. Through its Resource Center, the college offers tuition-free online Bible courses and publishes ongoing content such as articles and podcasts. These resources are intended to help Christians build biblical literacy and engage religious topics with a Scripture-centered framework, making TBC’s teaching accessible to a wider audience than its residential student body.

TBC hosts events that connect the school with churches and families. One example is RENEW, a scheduled annual lectureship-style event listed on the school’s events calendar. TBC also operates Truth Bible Camp, a summer program for youth held on the college campus. Together, these activities reflect how the college functions not only as an academic program but also as a hub for teaching, encouragement, and connection.

People can engage with Tennessee Bible College by applying for on-campus or online study, visiting campus in Cookeville, using the free-course options and media resources, and supporting the college financially through its giving page. TBC’s leadership and faculty are publicly listed on the college website, including its president and academic administration, providing clear points of reference for prospective students and partner churches.
