BETHANY, WV””The Disciples of Christ Historical Society has completed its move into a new facility in historic Bethany. DCHS”s new home is located adjacent to the grounds of the Alexander Campbell study and mansion and across the street from the Campbell cemetery. The building was completed by renovating the Renner Visitor Center and adding an extensive archives room housing artifacts, portraits, institutional records, books, and journals from the early 19th century Restoration Movement to the present. Brite Divinity School (Fort Worth, Texas) launched its new Soul Repair Center in November 2012 out of concern for veterans of combat. The gift is remarkable not only because of its historical value, but as an expression of goodwill between distinct “streams” of the Stone-Campbell Restoration Movement.
