The Wide Road Is Still the Wrong Road
 by David Faust What do you get when you cross a Jehovah”s Witness with a universalist? A knock on the door for no apparent reason. Actually, universalism is no joke. It”s a widely accepted philosophy imbedded in the psyche of our generation. The idea that one must believe in Jesus Christ to be saved sounds antiquated, judgmental, and narrow beyond belief to postmodern ears. The church isn”t immune to this trend. But that”s all history, isn”t it? Why is it, then, that in national surveys of young people, the authors of the book UnChristian found that 87 percent believe modern-day Christianity is judgmental? Our Motives for Pure Living
By Greg Allen My heart broke when I heard Ted Haggard”s admission of sexual sin that led to his being removed from the leadership of New Life Church in Colorado Springs. What was your reaction? Did your heart break for the kingdom of God? Did you pray for Ted”s wife and children? Did you pray for God to lead New Life”s leadership? Or did you possibly chalk it up to another fallen minister? Were you tempted to be suspect of the denomination that New Life belongs to? Or were you disinterested because you don”t know Ted or New Life Church?
