Eucharist
By Daniel Schantz “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise” (Psalm 100:4, New King James Version). Eucharist is a term for the Lord”s Supper that means “to give thanks.” Giving thanks is something like a digital password to the presence of God, perhaps because it represents humility. 2016 NACC Is Offensive!
By Wendy Fitzgerald A good defense isn”t enough to help us score against the enemy. Every year, Americans gather to watch two teams battle for the title of Super Bowl Champion. While the defensive, offensive, and special teams units are all important to a team”s success, the offense scores the most points. The same is true of our faith. As Christians, we are in a battle that can be won only if we engage offensively. Playing Hurt
By Wayne Smith The greatest thrill, the greatest dream, the greatest goal of a football player”s career is to play in the Super Bowl. To be able to wear the ring of a Super Bowl champion is the greatest accomplishment of all. I”m told that being tackled in an NFL game is like running into a brick wall. In spite of their unbelievable conditioning, nearly all of these players play hurt. The question begs to be asked, “Why do these fellows do this?” Some do it because of the money, but for most of them, football is in their blood
