We asked 35 Christian leaders, “Who is the influencer with the biggest impact on your life and ministry?” Most of these leaders listed several influential thinkers, writers, innovators, and leaders more of us should get to know. This response is from Bert Crabbe, lead pastor of True North Community Church, Bohemia, New York.

________

07_TL_Crabbe_book_JNThe biggest influence on my life with regard to leadership is Andy Stanley, North Point Community Church, Alpharetta, Georgia. I”m sure I won”t be the only one to mention him. This guy is the walking definition of “thought leader.” His preaching is great, but his leadership podcasts are what adds the most value to my life. They fit perfectly into my commute to the office and continue to bear fruit even after repeated listens.

The second thought leader I”d name is Pete Scazzero, founding pastor and now teaching pastor/pastor-at-large at New Life Fellowship in Queens, New York. His book Emotionally Healthy Spirituality is life-changing. After reading it, I”m now walking my whole staff through it in our devotional meetings.

I just recently ran across Pete Scazzero and his book. I was on the fence about if I would buy it. I think I will now.
