ILLINOIS—Lincoln (Ill.) Christian University is seeking to hire a vice president of academics to serve as the university’s chief academic officer. The VPA reports directly to the president, supervises the graduate and seminary dean and undergraduate dean, and leads the LCU’s Academic Council. The VPA’s primary purpose is to ensure that the academic mission of the university is fulfilled with excellence, especially in the areas of faculty (teaching) and instruction (learning). The VPA is expected to be a faculty advocate who helps create an environment where teaching and learning excel—in and out of the classroom. ARIZONA—Cactus Christian Fellowship in Phoenix, Ariz., is seeking a senior pastor to replace the minister who retired recently after 20-plus years. CCF is an independent Christian church established in 1971. The church is financially stable with a debt-free facility. The congregation averages less than 100 (post-COVID-19). The church has a full-time associate minister (who also serves as worship leader) and an administrative manager. One of CCF’s four elders serves part-time as facilities manager. The senior pastor is responsible for proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ, teaching, pastoral care, providing administrative leadership, and acting as chief administrator of paid staff. Candidates for this position should be ordained, have training and experience in pastoral ministry, meet the biblical qualifications (1 Timothy 4:6-13; 6:11-14; 2 Timothy 2:21-24), and have proven successful experience in pastoral ministry, preaching, and teaching. The senior pastor will serve as chairman of the church council—leading and overseeing the total church program. PENNSYLVANIA—Impact Christian Church in Moon Township, Pa., is searching for a full-time kids coordinator. This congregation in suburban Pittsburgh averages 700 people. The coordinator is responsible for leadership, administration, and direction of the church’s Impact Kids program (nursery through fifth grade). This person also serves as the team leader with Impact’s children’s ministry team by initiating group planning meetings, collaboration, and providing mentoring where appropriate.  The Impact Kids program includes weekend services using the Orange curriculum, along with other special events throughout the year. OHIO—Lynchburg (Ohio) First Church of Christ is seeking a youth/student minister to provide spiritual leadership, guidance, and shepherding for elementary, middle school, and high school students. The person in this position will develop the youth ministry team and volunteers and oversee the creation and implementation of a plan to evangelize and disciple children and students. This ministry leader will play an administrative role in curriculum, programming, facility, budgets, and planning processes. ARIZONA—The American Indian Christian Mission in Show Low, Ariz., is seeking a full-time executive director. AICM is a boarding school for Native American students in grades 3-8 who are primarily from the White Mountain Apache Tribe. Job responsibilities include day-to-day mission operations, directing a 20-member staff, overseeing the budget, communication with supporters, overseeing a bus ministry to the Apache reservations, and (when school is not in session from May to August) overseeing summer ministry teams. PENNSYLVANIA—Deep Valley Christian Service Camp, Slippery Rock, Pa., is seeking an individual or married couple to manage the upkeep and maintenance of the camp facilities. Typical duties include lawn care, building maintenance, coordination of volunteer work, and providing assistance relative to facility use and logistics to groups that use the camp. The camp’s directors are seeking a strong Christian individual or married couple possessing a skill set that includes a demonstrated hands-on ability for this type of work. Candidates should be motivated and inspired to work independently, yet able to take direction from the board, as needed. Additional qualities preferred for this position include the ability to communicate clearly, a record of leadership working in a position similar to this, and education/training specifically targeting camp mission work. INDIANA—Eastview Christian Church in Martinsville, Ind., seeks to hire a person for a dual director position that focuses on the ministry areas of children’s/youth leadership and creative outreach. CALIFORNIA—First Christian Church of Carson (Calif.), a church of 100-150, is seeking a full-time pastor. People of many nationalities (Filipino, American, Mexican, Indian, and others) attend FCCC. The church resulted from a merger of Carson Christian Church and First Filipino American Christian Church; those bodies began worshipping together in 2007. The church conducts one Sunday morning worship service (in English), a Sunday school, and various smaller weekday gatherings. The New Testament church is seeking a loving, caring, mature individual who is a U.S. citizen or legal U.S. resident (preferably residing in Southern California) to serve as pastor.
