NationsU Offering Discount for U.S. Congregations

by | 4 April, 2023 | 0 comments

NationsUniversity—an accredited, online Christian university associated with the Restoration Movement—is offering a discounted yearly tuition for full- or part time ministers and missionaries serving in the U.S. and other developed countries.

Such folks can study with NationsU, taking as many classes as they like, for $1,200 per year, providing they meet two conditions:

• On church letterhead, a senior minister or elder must request the “minister/missionary tuition rate” and list the name or names of ministers, missionaries, or interns the church agrees to underwrite in this program.

• After the first quarter of study (which is free), payment of $1,200 (per student) from the church is required in advance of each year’s study.

Typically, tuition is $1,800 yearly for those living in developed nations; the quarterly tuition rate is $450. There also is a $25 one-time registration fee for all students.

President John Baxter says NationsU’s online education serves students in challenging situations who cannot uproot themselves from ministry or afford the costs of study at a traditional Christian university or seminary. The school seeks to partner with churches to train the next generation of church leaders.

NationsU offers undergraduate certificates and degrees (Certificate of Biblical Studies, Certificate of Christian Ministry, Bachelor of Religious Studies) and graduate certificates and degrees (Graduate Certificate of Biblical Studies, Master of Theological Studies, Master of Divinity).

The roots of NationsUniversity are with the noninstrumental Churches of Christ. It was started in 1995 to provide top-quality biblical education for people on the mission field in the developing world, but it has expanded its mission in the years since.
